Our house burned down today

I don't think I'll be posting for a while.  Our house burned down today.  All family,  dog,  puppies and chicks are safe.  House,  jeep and suburban are total loss.  We have the clothes on our backs and my cell phone.  Family and friends are helping as much as they can.  I am grateful for everyone's safety.

  3. wow if it wasn't for bad luck in the last several months doesn't seem like you have had any luck at all. So hoping everything was looking up with this new job and the new house after all the problems with Oklahoma ordeal. So sorry, hope the fire dept put you in contact with the Red Cross for some assistance.

  5. Please say you had renter's insurance in place. Devastating. If you reconsider about blogging, just for a way to vent or process, I was wondering if you could set up a paypal account for those of us who would like to help.

  18. I am so sorry to hear about this, but so relieved that everyone made it out alive. Be careful with the Red Cross, unless they have changed policy recently, you will have to repay any assistance. This happened to my aunt.

Hopefully you will be able to find another rental house quickly. If your area has a yahoo freecycle group, try to join it. This would allow the possibility to get some much needed household items to restart with until they could be replaced later. I have used this group in my own area to give away what was no longer needed, and also to receive things that I did need at no cost.

Again, I'm so glad that everyone made it out, I'll be praying for your family, God will provide.
