I don't think I'll be posting for a while. Our house burned down today. All family, dog, puppies and chicks are safe. House, jeep and suburban are total loss. We have the clothes on our backs and my cell phone. Family and friends are helping as much as they can. I am grateful for everyone's safety.
OJD

ReplyDeleteAgreed and thank you
Deletewow if it wasn't for bad luck in the last several months doesn't seem like you have had any luck at all. So hoping everything was looking up with this new job and the new house after all the problems with Oklahoma ordeal. So sorry, hope the fire dept put you in contact with the Red Cross for some assistance.
ReplyDeleteI said the same thing. This year has been incredible. I'm Meeting with the Red Cross at 10 a.m. Tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this. Thankful that God protected you & the family. Everything else is just stuff, I know because I also lost a house. Family is all there is. Stay strong...
ReplyDeletePlease say you had renter's insurance in place. Devastating. If you reconsider about blogging, just for a way to vent or process, I was wondering if you could set up a paypal account for those of us who would like to help.

I am oh so sorry, and here I thought you found your paradise. Let us hope that the future brings nothing but great things for you and the family. Glad everyone is OK.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I also mentioned you on my blog and gave a link to your web site.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about this, but so relieved that everyone made it out alive. Be careful with the Red Cross, unless they have changed policy recently, you will have to repay any assistance. This happened to my aunt.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will be able to find another rental house quickly. If your area has a yahoo freecycle group, try to join it. This would allow the possibility to get some much needed household items to restart with until they could be replaced later. I have used this group in my own area to give away what was no longer needed, and also to receive things that I did need at no cost.
Again, I'm so glad that everyone made it out, I'll be praying for your family, God will provide.
I am just now reading some posts on my cell phone. I left my phone with wifey while I went and rummage through the ashes all day. We manage to find some valuable things. I even found her wedding
ReplyDeleteRing. Neighbors and friends from church bought us church clothes. Leaving for church now. Will update tonight with pics of the damage.

ReplyDeleteI'll echo the previous poster: Please set up a Paypal account so those who wish to help can.
