Arrival at the Farm

Made it safely.  Lots of cleaning to do before anything else.  But here are some pics:

  1. Note: first thing I did was dig out an old AC unit from the barn and plug her in the south window.

  2. LOL... Some things have to come first especially the AC! I love the place! Cool tools out there in the barn too.

  3. Think it would be a good idea to move the BBQ outside for cooking, lol. Little cleaning / rearranging and it looks liveable.

  4. That is awesome. I'm glad you made it safely in that Heep of yours. It is never easy being point man. It's a difficult responsibility. But you seem on the right track. Keep us updated. You're building the dream and doing right by your family.

  6. Congratulations on arriving safely! the farm (from what I can see of it) looks good. And that barn is FULL of goodies! Great fun and useful stuff. How nice to have a place to stage the family goods for a while if you need to (once you've organized it a bit). We'll be praying about the safety of your family while you're away, and for you to find a place there for them as soon as possible - Pamela in OK

    1. I'll have to start posting pics of tools and equipment and asking folks what it is, used for, etc. There's lots of stuff in the barn.

  9. OJD, that looks really cool. Everything looks to be in good shape, too. The best part: CANOE!! Second best part: DUNE BUGGIES!! lol j/k...I'm sure you've got other priorities. I'm glad you made it safely. Make sure to lecture the girls about staying off the oil well equipment - lots of scary stories about kids getting hurt from trying to ride on the pump jacks. But you're probably aware of that already, and maybe since you have girls it won't be an issue. Congrats!

  10. That's not a bad little house. Too bad it's not bigger; trying to fit 8 in there would be chaos...

  12. I guess I should explain that I am referring to the cool barn and tools, I grew up driving that model tractor. Email photos of tools and I will try to help you ID them
